Graphic Design Week 5

So while living in NYC this summer, I began to see these Ray Ban ads around the city on bus stops and what not, and I fell in love. Awesome graphics, editing, use of color, etc. It helps that the boys are kind of beautiful too.
Below are some additonal Ray Ban advertisements that required more extensive graphics. They're all a lot of fun. The original ad I saw in NYC was the subway iTransNYC  printed glasses...which I love.

Graphic Design Week 4

The following are a few ad's I found randomly. They are expressing the importance of brains over beauty, showing there is more to life than just a pretty face and that magazines put a great deal of importance on external appearance. Let's be honest, I still love magazines...and always will. Also...if I could one day work for Marie Claire, I wouldn't complain.
"Keep a high self esteem, even after taking off your high heels"
"Beauty attracts men, intelligence keeps them"
"Let's face it: what's the point in having 40 pairs of shoes in your closet and 5 books on your shelf"

Graphic Design Week 3

Is all publicity good publicity? So my friends and I were watching Kim and Kourtney take New York over the snow break and we watched the episode where Kim finds out that the photos she had taken for W Magazine were going to be printed differently than she had planned. This was The Art Issue, and Kim had been told that after having her entire body covered in silver paint that images would be printed over her skin, so the outline of her body would be the only thing seen. W Magazine lied. If you have seen the magazine or the photos on the internet, you know that no art was placed over her body, and the images are...graphic. I think the lesson learned here is, don't take you clothes off anymore. Even for W Magazine. I still think the magazine was magazine was wrong, especially since the 'Art Issue' didnt actually contain art on the cover or in the main spread...unless they're showing the human body as a work of art, which I guess they might win that argument because lets face it, it is.
Here's one of the less controversial photo's. Kim looks gorgeous as always.
